Rent-A-Hacker, Inc. Privacy Statement

Rent-A-Hacker is highly
sensitive to the privacy interests of its clients, business
partners and Independent Contractors, and believes that the
protection of those interests is one of its most significant
responsibilities. In acknowledgment of its obligations,
Rent-A-Hacker has adopted the following Privacy Code applicable to
all confidential information it acquires in the course of its
business:
- Acquisition and Retention of
Information. We do not acquire any more information
about clients than is required by law or is otherwise
necessary to provide a high level of service efficiently and
securely; and we do not retain any such information longer
than is necessary to meet these objectives.
- Our Employees and Privacy.
We train all of our employees and Independent Contractors
about the importance of privacy. We give access to information
about clients only to those employees who require it to
perform their jobs, using the "Need-to-Know" basis
rules of a Compartmentalized Security Model similar to that
used by the United States Military.
- Security Measures.
We make access to privacy-sensitive information subject to
rigorous procedural and technological controls, consistent
with legal requirements and the demands of client service.
- Disclosure to Third Parties.
We will provide information about clients to third parties
only if: (1) we are compelled to do so by order of a
duly-empowered governmental authority or Court of Competent
Jurisdiction, against which action we will defend; (2) we have
the express permission of the client; or (3) it is necessary
to process financial transactions in the course of providing
our services.
- "Referrals".
Potential clients requesting referrals are encouraged to
consider carefully our need for confidentiality. Ask
yourself if you would want to be on an open referral list of
firms/persons having received our security services, and the
ramifications of this. For this reason, we will only
provide referrals in rare instances, and only after a fully
executed Non-Disclosure and retainer have been exchanged, and
only those clients that have expressly authorized themselves
to this list will be contacted. There are no exceptions
to this policy.
- Right to Know. Our
clients have the right to know what information we keep about
them and how that information is being used; and they have the
right to have any inaccurate information corrected or deleted.
- Opt Out. Rent-A-Hacker
does not, at any time, send unsolicited electronic
communications, and therefore does not have need for an Opt
Out mechanism.
- Privacy and Our Business Partners.
When we make our technology or services available to business
partners, we will not share more information than is
necessary, and we will make every effort to assure, by legal
agreement and otherwise, that they use our technology and
information in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy
Code.
- Independent Contractors
have the right to expect the same high level of privacy and
confidentiality that our clients do. At no time will
Rent-A-Hacker divulge to any third parties any information
with regard to Independent Contractors unless forcibly
compelled to do so by a Court of Competent Jurisdiction,
against which action we will defend.
- Web Site: This web site
gathers no more information that is absolutely necessary to
conduct our business. We do not use cookies or other
mechanisms to capture visitor data. All information
provided by visitors to this site is subject to the strict
Privacy Policy stated hereinabove. Comprehensive logs
are kept containing non-user-identifiable visitor data (i.e.
IP addresses, traceroutes, etc) in order to protect the
integrity and security of our web site and the systems on
which is resides, and all users are hereby warned that if this
is not acceptable, they must leave this web site immediately.
